In 2022, the Oral History Victoria annual symposium (Sunday 19 June) is on 'Oral History: Making it Work during the Pandemic.' We plan to include a session in which our panel of speakers will respond to contributions, reflections and/or questions from OHV members. (Note: this will be an in-person event for the first time since 2019).
In this short survey, we invite you to make a contribution by reflecting on your oral history practice over the last two years. It may be that you had to stop interviewing all together, or that you made some adjustments to your practice, or that you completely changed the way you went (or plan to go) about conducting oral history interviews.
At the Symposium, a panel will respond (live) to the member contributions and encourage audience participation in the discussion that follows. We are also keen to quote from survey responses if you give your permission for us to do so.
If you are not yet a member of the OHV, please consider joining for 2022-23 by going to:
https://oralhistoryvictoria.wildapricot.org/join-us(Apart from anything else it will give you a significant discount on the Symposium and other OHV event and workshop tickets)
We look forward to seeing you at the Symposium. Registration information will be sent out in mid-May.
